Privacy Policy

Effective April 17, 2026. We take your data seriously and keep this policy in plain language.

What we collect

When you use Founders Pilot, we collect:

• Assessment answers. Your responses to the 8 assessment questions, used to calculate your score, edge, and quadrant breakdown.
• Contact info. Email address and first name if you submit them to receive your brief.
• Conversation content. Messages exchanged with Astra during your strategy session, stored so you can return and continue the conversation.
• Strategy Brief data. The structured analysis generated from your conversation (scores, risk assessment, roadmap) is stored so you can download your brief at any time. Your brief is also delivered to you by email as a PDF attachment.
• Traffic source data. UTM parameters and referrer information (e.g. whether you arrived from LinkedIn) used for attribution analytics.
• Payment metadata. If you purchase the Strategy Brief, Stripe handles payment and we receive a confirmation that the purchase occurred. We do not store card numbers or payment credentials.
• Usage events.Anonymized events such as “assessment started” and “question answered”, used to understand funnel behavior.

Your conversations are private

Your conversations with Astra are private and only visible to you. No other users can see your ideas, your assessment results, or your Strategy Brief. Your data is protected by industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit, and we never sell or share your information with third parties.

To deliver your Strategy Brief, your conversation is processed by Anthropic’s Claude AI. Anthropic does not use your conversation data to train their models (per their commercial API terms). Your brief is generated on the fly when needed and delivered to you by email. The Founders Pilot team may review anonymized, aggregated conversation patterns to improve the service, but will never access or share your individual ideas or business plans.

How we use your data

Where your data is stored

All assessment data, conversation history, and email records are stored in Supabase, a managed Postgres platform hosted in the United States. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted third parties to run the product:

• Stripe— payment processing for the Strategy Brief. Your card data never touches our servers.
• Resend— transactional email delivery (your brief, the nurture sequence).
• Anthropic— powers the Astra conversation. Your messages are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API for generating responses. Anthropic’s data handling is governed by their own terms.
• Vercel— hosts the Founders Pilot website and server-side code.

Cookies and browser storage

We use sessionStorage (browser-only, cleared when you close the tab) to persist your UTM source across pages. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.

What we don’t do

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your assessment responses, conversation content, or email address with anyone outside the third-party services listed above (which are necessary to run the product).

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or have it deleted at any time. Email hello@thefounderspilot.comwith your request and the email address associated with your assessment. We’ll respond within 14 days.

You can also unsubscribe from follow-up emails using the link at the bottom of any message we send.

Data retention

We retain assessment data and conversations indefinitely unless you request deletion, so you can return to your results. If you ask us to delete your data, we will remove your personal identifiers within 30 days; anonymized aggregate metrics may remain.

Children

Founders Pilot is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and, if you’re on our email list, notify you directly.
